What Smart Icon Cover changes on your cards
What it adds
When it makes an icon cover, Smart Icon Cover:
- adds the icon as an image attachment on the card, and
- sets that image as the card’s cover.
That’s all. The icon is a regular Trello cover image with a transparent background, so it shows wherever Trello shows card covers, in light and dark themes. Trello lists the attachment in the card’s activity, as added by the member who made the icon cover (or, for Auto-Gen Board Covers, the member who turned it on for the board).
What it never does
- It never deletes cards or changes their titles, descriptions, labels, dates or anything else.
- It never deletes attachments it didn’t make.
- It never replaces a cover you or a teammate chose without asking first. If a card already has a cover (a colour, an image, or another Power-Up’s), Smart Icon Cover asks before replacing it, and Auto-Gen Board Covers skips the card.
Regenerating
Regenerate makes a new icon for the card and sets it as the cover. It uses one cover credit.
If another Smart Icon Cover account made the card’s current icon (people from different accounts can share a board), you’re asked first, as with any cover you didn’t choose.
Removing an icon cover
Remove it in Trello like any cover: open the card, click Cover and choose Remove cover. You can also delete the attachment. For a 1-time batch, Undo Batch removes all of its icon covers for 24 hours after it runs.
Turning Smart Icon Cover off
Removing the Power-Up from a board, or turning Auto-Gen Board Covers off, leaves the icon covers already on your cards where they are.
